Rep. Hoyle Statement on Israel and Hamas Ceasefire Agreement

For Immediate Release: October 8, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Val Hoyle (OR-04) released the following statement after it was announced that a ceasefire agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas:

“I welcome news of a ceasefire. I want to thank the White House and everyone involved in the process. The priority now must be securing the release of all remaining hostages, getting humanitarian aid to civilians and supporting a lasting peace that ensures the safety, dignity, and self-determination of Palestinians and Israelis alike.”
