Representative Val Hoyle Appointed to House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and House Committee on Natural Resources
Washington, DC – Representative Val Hoyle was selected to serve on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and House Committee on Natural Resources for the 118th Congress.
Representative Hoyle released the following statement:
“I am proud to serve on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Natural Resources, whose impact is vital for the growth and sustainability of Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District. From being a community college student to serving Oregon as labor commissioner, I know our country needs more jobs and apprenticeship opportunities that investments in transportation and infrastructure projects across the country will deliver. As the largest coastal district in Oregon, my constituents know a thing or two about protecting ecosystems and wildlife, and the communities and jobs that rely on them. I look forward to working with my committee colleagues in crafting legislation that will help rebuild our economy all while protecting our environment and prioritizing a green future.”
The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure oversees national policy related to highways, transit, aviation, rail, water infrastructure, pipeline safety, ocean shipping, maritime transportation, and the United States Coast Guard. In the coming days, Representative Hoyle will learn subcommittee appointments.
The House Committee on Natural Resources reviews legislation on public lands, fisheries and wildlife, oceanography, energy production on federal lands, Native Americans, and irrigation projects. In the coming days, Representative Hoyle will learn subcommittee appointments.
