HOYLE GETS TWO PRO-WORKER BILLS PASSED INTO LAW AS PART OF FAA REAUTHORIZATION
Rep. Hoyle’s AIR PUMP Act and Airport Ramp Worker Safety Act will be signed into law after passing the House and Senate as part of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Val Hoyle (OR-04) voted in favor of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization bill (H.R. 3935). This bipartisan legislationincludes two key pieces of pro-worker legislation led by the Congresswoman that supportground and flight crew workers across thecountry.
The first is the bipartisan AIR PUMP Act that supports families and guarantees new moms have a space and protected time to pump breast milk at work. The second is the bipartisan Airport Ramp Worker Safety Act that ensures proper training and safety standards to protect airport ground crew workers.
“I am proud that two pro-worker bills I championed are included in the final FAA Reauthorization bill. I will never stop standing up for working people and fighting for their priorities in Congress,” said Rep. Hoyle. "This bipartisan, bicameral legislation not only advances aviation safety and innovation across the country but demonstrates what can be achieved when Congress comes together. I look forward to the President quickly signing this into law."
