HOYLE VOTES ‘NO’ ON THE HOUSE NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025

WASHINGTON, DC— Today, U.S. Representative Val Hoyle (OR-04) voted against the partisan H.R. 8070, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025, which authorizes the U.S. Department of Defense’s spending for the year. Rep. Hoyle released the following statement in response:

“Today, House Republicans took a previously bipartisan bill designed to support our servicemembers and use it as a vehicle for their culture wars and partisan attacks. I strongly support pay raises and housing investments for servicemembers and their families, but I could not support the NDAA because it is anti-choice, anti-worker and does not address our increasing defense budget.

“Our servicemembers deserve better.”
