Rep. Hoyle Announces Over $16.6 Million for 15 Community Projects Throughout Oregon’s 4th Congressional District
For Immediate Release: August 14, 2025
EUGENE, OR – Today, Representative Val Hoyle (OR-04) announced that she has secured $16,625,000 in Community Project Funding (CPFs) from the federal government for projects across Oregon’s 4th district. The funding, which would become available if Congress passes full-year appropriations bills, would be awarded in varying amounts to 15 towns, community colleges, and local organizations.
“When I travel across the Central and South Coast, I hear the same thing from people in every community: we need safe streets, affordable homes, access to health care, and a healthy environment," said Rep. Hoyle. "That’s why I fought for this funding, and why I’m proud to announce that we’ve secured more than $16.6 million for projects that deliver on those needs. From Brookings to Corvallis, these investments are our tax dollars coming home and making a real difference for working families, small businesses, and future generations.”
A full list of funded projects and their recipients can be found below.
Background
Each year, Members of Congress are allowed to nominate up to 15 local projects in their district to receive federal funds. Members nominate projects based on need, feasibility, and funding requests. These projects are then funded at varying levels at the discretion of the House Committee on Appropriations. While Rep. Hoyle has successfully secured these projects in the relevant funding bills, the money is not guaranteed until Congress passes the final appropriations legislation and they are signed into law.
